CertiLearn does not take a “cookie-cutter” approach to custom course development. We utilize instructional media and exercises that are appropriate for the course. Courses can be self-paced (asynchronous) or facilitated (synchronous) or a hybrid. Learning goals drive technology and design decisions.

CertiLearn’s instructional design philosophy emphasizes interaction, application and feedback. The full extent of the Learning Architecture for each Custom Course, and the mix of instructional methodologies, will be determined in a consultative fashion with each client, based on the objectives and audience for each course. Custom course designs may include:

Instructional Media. Application, feedback and learning can be augmented and enhanced through audio, video, animations, simulations, drag-and-drop exercises, matching exercises, role-playing and other instructional strategies. Certificates of completion can be generated automatically upon successful completion.

Quizzes and exams. Assessments are often used within courses to provide feedback and assess performance. Objective quizzes can be automatically graded and a subject matter expert can grade subjective assessments. Online proctoring is also available.

Communication. Interaction can be facilitated through threaded-discussions, real-time chat and e-mail.

Resources. PDF, MS Word, Excel and other files can be included in courses. Glossary of Terms, Frequently Asked Questions and Internet Links can add value to courses.
